Dog himself and a line of California varietal wines expertly crafted
and deliciously blended for easy-to-drink finishes and easy-to-take

When Bad Dog was a puppy, he had the pain-in-the-hind-quarters
habit of playing upside-down fetch with newly planted baby grapevines.
That’s just how he got his
name-o. He’s lived up to it too, and then some. But His
Mastiffness does have his
strong suits.
Number one, he particularly enjoys keeping the place free of pesky
varmints—not to mention pesky wine snobs. But better still,
it turns out Bad Dog has an uncanny nose for grapes. Like clockwork,
when he starts eating the fruit off the vines, we know it’s
time to harvest. We love that, because our varietal grapes have
to be picked at the peak of ripeness for the big, bold flavor
that’s making our BDR wines famous.
